Carpenter, musician, devoted father and grandfather
Anthony Capobianco, 90, of Cranford, N.J., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at the Atria Assisted Living in Cranford.
Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave. West, Cranford. Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Michael's Church, Cranford. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.
Anthony was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His love of music started early and he served his country as a drummer in the military. He continued to play professionally after the service. His love of woodworking led him into carpentry until retiring from the Carpenters Union. He loved to make people smile and will be remembered as a loving and genuine soul.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth, in 2014. Surviving are his devoted children, Mark (Jane), Tony (Sarah), and Jill Pallotto (Dan), and four beloved grandchildren, Anthony, Nicholas, Kayla, and Sean.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Knights of Columbus in collaboration with St. Joseph's Church in Elizabeth. A representative from the Knights will be present throughout the entirety of the visitation to accept donations. Please have a sealed envelope with cash or check made out to the Knights of Columbus, with "St. Joseph's Church" written in the memo portion. Please include your name and address along with any donations.
