Anna F. (nee Guiomar) Amaral, 96, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Hackensack Meridian Health Ocean Medical Center, Brick, N.J.
Anna was born in Murtosa, Portugal, and came to the United States in 1930, at age 8 and resided in the Ironbound section of Newark, N.J. She moved to Belleville, N.J., in 1961 and has resided in Manchester, N.J., since 1983.
Anna was an assembler/inspector for the RCA Corp. of Harrison, N.J., for 30 years. She was a lifelong member of Caritas at Leisure Village.
She was the wife of the late Jose F. Amaral; devoted and loving mother of Madalien Gomes and her late husband, Joseph; dear sister of Mary Salgado and her husband Mario and Mariana Romao and her husband Jose; cherished grandmother of Michele and her husband, Edward; great-grandmother of Alexis.
The funeral for Anna will be on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019, at 8:30 a.m. at the Buyus Funeral Home, 426 Lafayette St. at Wilson Ave., Newark, N.J. 07105. Thence to Our Lady of Fatima Church, Newark, where at 9:30 a.m. the Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment is in Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, N.J. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend.Visitation for Anna will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 4 to 8 p.m.
