SUPPLEE--Angela Place. died on February 9, 2019 at her home in Santa Barbara, CA. She attended Chapin School and then graduated from St. Timothy's School in Maryland. After graduating from Finch College in New York City she trained and volunteered as a nurse's aide at Lenox Hill Hospital during World War II. She married Cochran B. Supplee in 1946. She and her husband resided in Manhattan and at their summer home in Millbrook, NY. She devoted her energy and talents on many charitable boards and committees from the Chapin-Brearly Exchange to the Colonial Dames of America. She was also an active member of the Colony Club in New York City. She served as President from 1987-1990 following in her mother's footsteps, Mrs. Herman G. Place, who had served as President twenty-five years previously. She moved to California in 1990 with her husband. She is survived by her daughter Angela S. Chesser, Ph.D. in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brothers Curtis Place and John B.M. Place. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Peter's Church, PO Box 1502, Millbrook, NY 12545.
