Arlene Joan Hochfeld was born in Seattle WA July 7, 1944 to Lucille Kotkins Hochfeld and Richard Hochfeld. She passed away peacefully October 5, 2018 in Bellevue WA.
Arlene grew up in Magnolia, went to Briarcliff Grade School, Blaine Junior High and Queen Anne High School. She graduated from Arizona State University and taught elementary school on Mercer Island for 30 years, beloved and appreciated by so many. She treasured her students and friendships made with colleagues. Arlene was very creative and had wonderful collections of gifts given to her over the years by her students and friends, especially every kind of Mickey Mouse memorabilia. She loved being with family and friends and travelling to Las Vegas and area casinos. With a good sense of humor, making people laugh was a joy to her. Arlene and her family have appreciated the compassionate and understanding care given to her by Lota and others in recent months. Arlene is survived by her loving family and many dear friends. Graveside services will take place at Hills of Eternity, 520 West Raye St, Seattle, at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 9, 2018.
