Charmain Lynne Turpin Webb
1923 ~ 2019
Bountiful, UT-Our Precious Mother and Grandmother Charmain Lynne Turpin Webb passed away at the age of 95 on January 7, 2019 at her home in Bountiful, Utah. She was born on July 10, 1923 to Fred and Hallie Turpin in Bradfordsville, Kentucky. She grew up in Farmer's City, Illinois. Charmain drove a sick missionary couple to their home to Salt Lake City, Utah, and by fate, she met the love of her life Donovan Edward Webb at a church dance. They were married three weeks later. For their honeymoon, they drove back to Farmer's City so that Charmain could introduce Don to her parents who could not attend the wedding due to their farm and great distance. After dropping her off, he left for a two-and-a-half-year LDS mission. When he returned, Don built a home for her and their five children where she resided until her very last day.She loved collecting salt and pepper shakers. She had hundreds displayed in the shelves Don built for her in their home. Charmain had a passion for traveling, and her favorite thing in the world was SHOPPING! She is survived by her children: Sandy Webb, Bonnie Davis, Gary Webb, Sharon Beattie, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, daughter Susan Smith, and her siblings: Juanita Turpin, Heber Dale Turpin, and Gene Turpin. She is the best Mother and Grandmother we could have asked for. We love you so much!! Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM with a viewing one-hour prior at the LDS Church located at 33 S. Moss Hill Drive, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
