Blanche Baker Prisbrey died peacefully in Salt Lake City, Utah, on October 10, 2018, age 99. She was the thirteenth child (Baker's dozen) born July 18, 1919 to Henry Friend Baker and Amy Walker in Minersville, Utah, and married on January 11, 1941 to Arlo Prisbrey in the St. George, UT, Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life. She is survived by her four children: Keith Arlo (Kandace Kae Olson), Amy Dianne (Wilson Kalmar Robbins), Dorothy Pauline (Mark Jean McDonough), and Karl Miner (Kathyrn Marie St. Germain). In addition she presently has 84 grand and great-grand children. We all fondly remember her love and shining example, patient acceptance of things that came her way, each Sunday's popcorn night (she became known as 'Grandma Popcorn' by her great-grandchildren), her immaculate flower and vegetable gardens, fruit trees, strawberry and raspberry jam, canned fruit, and her extensive personal journals. She was involved with family history all her life, and remained agile and fit to the end. A viewing will be Monday, October 15, 2018, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 East 1300 South, SLC, UT. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., October 16, 2018, at the Cottonwood Heights Stake Center, 6890 Whitmore Way, Cottonwood Heights, UT, and a visitation before at 9:00 a.m. Graveside services will be Wednesday, Oct.17, 2018, 9:00 a.m. at the St. George City Cemetery, St. George, UT.
