Arthur died peacefully in Phoenix, Arizona on September 29, 2018.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 22, 1936 to Arthur Clifford Preston Sr. and Mary Ann Chaston Preston. Preceded in death by his parents and only sister Barbara.
He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and loved serving in many callings, including a Stake Missionary and being a temple worker at the Salt Lake Temple.
He overcame many physical challenges in his life, including being born blind and paralyzed and crippled.
He hand delivered glasses for "Utah Optical Supply" for over 30 years from 1960 to 1991, taking the bus and walking thousands of miles. He also worked for many years at Dan's Food which he enjoyed.
He was an avid Scouter working with the Boy Scouts of America for over 50 years. He earned over 75 Merit badges, and served as an adult leader in many positions from Scoutmaster to Unit Commissioner, District Commissioner and Council Commissioner. He helped hundreds of other Scouts with similar challenges as he had. He was given the prestigious Silver Beaver Award, the highest recognition a local council can bestow. He was also presented with the Utah Heritage Award in 1995.
He will be missed by his extended family and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the LDS Church at 2738 South Filmore Street (1450 E), S.L.C., Utah; where friends and family can visit 12:30-1:30 PM prior to the service. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
