Carolyn Virginia Jones, age 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019. She was born on June 9, 1945 in Bozeman, Montana to Armin J. Hill and Virginia A. Nelson.
Her youth was spent growing up in Southern California and then in Provo, Utah. Carolyn attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science on August 17, 1967. During her college years she shared her amazing vocal talents in many plays, musicals, and programs. She also participated in a travel abroad program to Europr and often sharing stories about her adventures.
Carolyn enjoyed various occupations and excelled in Personnel and Human Resources. During the tougher times, Carolyn worked several jobs to be able to raise her three daughters as a phenomenal single mom until she met the love of her life, LeGrand, in December of 1983. They married February 18, 1984. Meeting and marrying LeGrand was the best thing to happen to them all. With his love and devotion, Carolyn and her girls were able to live their best lives and know what it means to be a loving family.
Carolyn is survived by her husband LeGrand Omni Jones of West Valley City UT. LeGrand cherished and adored Carolyn, he loved her to the moon and back!. Her three girls; Rebecca Ann Torek (Kevin) of Meridian, ID, Susan Janet McNelis of Bend, OR and Helen Virginia Jochetz (Chris) of Cedar Hills, UT. Her girls were so honored to be Carolyn's daughters. They too are pretty great people because Carolyn loved them boundlessly and taught them well. To have Carolyn's love was to … let's just say this-when she said, 'I love you' and gave you a hug, you felt her love all the way to your quarks. Carolyn is also survived by LeGrand's sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved them all dearly.
Carolyn's grandsons need mention too. Dillon Mathew McNelis, age 25, Susan's son, was Carolyn's 'first grandson' and was her pride and joy. Dillon loved his sweet 'grandma Caroline Caroline Caroline Jones' tons and bunches. He and his lovely wife Jenna gave Carolyn her first great grandson, Gavin! AJ, age 18, and Sean, age 16, Becky's sons, appreciated grandma's endless support and unconditional love. Radek, age 8, and Lazslo, age 5, Helen's sons, loved spending time with Grandma and having picnics on the floor and drinking 'Grandma Juice' (flavored soda water).
