Athleen Irvine

Holladay, UT - Athleen Swenson Irvine passed peacefully away on November 18, 2018 in Holladay, Utah. She was born on September 19, 1934, in Ogden, Weber, Utah to Uriel Wayner and Thelma Mabel Gould Swenson. Her youth was spent in the Ogden area with her two brothers and younger sister. She graduated from Weber High School. She went to work for Safeway Stores, Incorporated where she met her husband, George William (Bill) Irvine. They were married on June 24, 1955 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They built a home in what is now the Holladay, Utah area where they raised their four children. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was called to serve in the Relief Society, Primary and Young Woman's organizations. She also supported her husband as he served in many scouting positions. She is survived by her daughter Judy (John), sons Blake (Pam) and Michael (Margo), 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by her sister Althea and sister-in-law Janice. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, son Jim, parents, brothers Wayner and Duane, and sister-in-law Hazel Swenson.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, 24 November 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olympus Third Ward Chapel, 4100 Camille St. There will be a viewing Friday night 23 November 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m at the Olympus Third Ward Chapel.
Interment will be at Memorial Estates Mountain View, 3115 E. Bengal Boulevard following the service.
