Salt Lake City, Utah-Beverly Kooyman Rodberg Ferguson 92, passed away of natural causes and returned to her Father in Heaven January 20, 2019. Born August 2, 1926 in Salt Lake City to Minerva Jenson and George Kooyman.
After graduating from West High School and being separated by WWII, Beverly married her long-time sweetheart Don G. Ferguson on April 9, 1946. Together they lovingly raised their family in Rose Park. Mom took pride in her beautiful home and garden, where family often gathered to share love, stories, and amazing Sunday dinners. Mom and Dad were great examples of what family truly is.
Mom is now reunited with her eternal sweetheart Don, who passed away on March 4, 2002, her parents, grandmother Thora Jenson Frinell, step-father Arvid Rodberg, her brother Richard Kooyman, sisters Janet Drecksel and Ida Joyce Rodberg, and her great-granddaughter Madison Ferguson.
Mom's legacy lives on in her son Rand and his children Blair (Julienne), Ashly Cash (James), and Guy (Heather); daughter Wendie Worthen (Brad), and children Codi Schreck (Blake), Coleman (Calah), and Caitlin Newland (Brinton); and son Tracy (Sandy) and children Haylie, Aspen Sturzenegger (Dan), and Meg; fourteen great-grandchildren Spencer, Ella, Stockton, McKay, Bonita, Amber, Christopher, Jackson, Harrison, Carter, McKinley, Lucy, Graham, and Holden; and sister Barbara Kinsley. She will be missed by all.
Mom found comfort in her faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 25, 2019 from 10:00 - 10:45AM with services following at 11:00AM at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary - 3401 South Highland Drive. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens - 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 S)
