1943-2018
Axel F. Olsen Jr., 75, of Houston, Texas went home to be with the Lord on October 12th, 2018. He was born in Clifton, Texas on September 1st, 1943 to Axel and Mary Olsen. Axel was a 1962 graduate of Clifton High School. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Elizabeth Olsen, sister Annie Mae Wetterman, children Axel Frederick Olsen III & wife Jenny, Lydia Murray & husband Rich, stepdaughter Michelle Maxwell & husband James, grandchildren Raymond Olsen, Alexandra Murray, Sydney Murray and Colin Maxwell.

Axel was a loving and compassionate husband, father, and grandfather, and very active in his community. He loved the Astros, walking, and dancing, but more than anything he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all.
The family would like to thank all who prayed for him throughout his battle with Leukemia and during his recent hospital stays. A special thank you also to the staff at MD Anderson for their care and support during this time.
Visitation is Thursday, October 18th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., and funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19th at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home & Cemetery 12800 Westheimer, Houston, Texas 77077.
