Amelia Molina
1926-2018
Amelia Guzman Molina passed away peacefully on September 26. Born August 29, 1926 in Goliad, Texas. Amelia moved to Houston at the age of 16 where she would later meet her husband of 52 years Juventino "Tino" Molina. They loved to travel with friends. Summer vacations were always on the beaches on Mexico. Amelia was an avid Bingo player. When she could no longer get to the bingo hall, she loved playing with her great-grandchildren who would often keep playing until she was the winner. She loved to cook and when she was healthy, you would find her in the kitchen making homemade tortillas or preparing someone's favorite meal. If you asked her for her recipe she would respond with "a little of this this and a little of that" but she was always happy to give you a hands on cooking lesson. Amelia, affectionately known as "MoMo" was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. MoMo always wanted to be the first one at the hospital each time a new great-great grandchild was born, and her great-grandchildren knew how special it was to have her there. She loved her family and enjoyed sitting with them, telling stories of her life and experiences. Whether you asked for it or not, she always gave her honest opinion, which was highly respected among her family. She was a woman of faith who always had a candle going and loved praying to Our Lady of Guadalupe. MoMo will be missed dearly by all who loved her. Amelia is preceded in death by her parents Pablo and Maria Guzman, husband Juventino Molina, brother Adam Guzman and sister Eva Flores. She is survived by her daughter Gloria Farmer DeAnda, grandchildren Diana Kruger (Mike) and Mike DeAnda. Great grandchildren Michael Kruger (Brittany), Nicole Ellis (John), Travis Kruger (Elizabeth), Bobby DeAnda (Xenia). Great great grandchildren Kate Amelia, Bennett and Travis Kruger and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday the 3rd of October from 6pm to 8pm with a rosary being recited at 7pm . Funeral services will take place at 11am in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with burial immediately following .
