Diane Sheila Mattly
1946-2018
Diane Sheila Mattly passed way in Austin, TX on August 15th, 2018 at the age of 72 after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Diane is survived by her husband of 35 years, Jim of Houston; Daughter Callie Kuehler of Houston, Stepson James Mattly of San Jose, Two Grandchildren, Daria Mattly and London Kuehler. She is preceded in death by her Mother Anita Massey of Texas, Father Charles Raymond Massey of Oklahoma, brothers Charles Raymond Massey Jr. and Richard Leon Massey of Houston.
Diane was born on April 8th, 1946 in Houston, TX to Charles Raymond Massey and Anita Belle Massey. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1967. Diane was accomplished at fundraising and raised over $9 Million for Citizens for Animal Protection to build a new state of the art shelter in West Houston. She loved to travel, needlepoint, and build doll houses.
A service is scheduled for Thursday, September 6th at 11AM at Robert L. Waltrip Memorial Chapel at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Citizens for Animal Protection at 17555 Katy Freeway Houston, TX 77094.
