CHARLOTTE ANN ERICKSON HURST
1931-2018
Charlotte Ann Erickson Hurst, 87, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 after a courageous 5 month battle with lung cancer.
Charlotte was born to Paul and Madelyn Erickson in California, Mo. on June 6, 1931. She grew up with a loving family of first generation Americans from Sweden. She married her childhood friend Melvin, and left Macon to build her new life. She worked as a secretary for Sinclair Oil Company, and as an editor for a local newspaper in Tulsa before having her daughter Susan, and son Jeff. She moved to Houston Texas, a place she would ultimately call home.
Charlotte loved taking care of, and spending time with her family and friends. Family was her primary passion. Charlotte was also an avid sports fan.
Charlotte loved reading. She was a "well known" patron of the Meyer Park, Stella Link, and Bellaire libraries. Every morning she looked forward to reading the newspaper, and finish up with the crossword puzzle of the day.
