WOODRING, C. Wayne C. Wayne Woodring, born November 2, 1928 to Ruby and Cyrus Woodring, was reunited with his wife, Betty, in heaven on October 4, 2018. Following graduation from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948, Wayne enlisted in the Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. After which he enrolled at North Texas State College where he met Betty Gregory and they married in 1955. For the last 30 years he worked with Betty at Highlander School. Wayne was an avid volleyball fan of his granddaughters' teams. He was a member of Wilshire Baptist Church and supported his community by being involved in the Lake Highlands Exchange Club. Preceding him in death is his wife, Betty Jo Woodring and his six siblings. He is survived by his daughter, Jill Reed, son-in-law Rob Reed, and son, Greg Woodring, his granddaughters, Matalee and Morgan Reed, nieces and nephews who knew him as Great Uncle Wayne and every Highlander student. The Celebration of Life for Wayne will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas.
