Mary Ann Patton Russell Smith of Dallas, Tx, passed away peacefully Jan 18, 2019 due to heart failure. She was born 8/7/30 in Dallas, Tx and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School, class of 1948 and attended SMU. She married Harvey Nual "Rusty" Russell Jr. in 1951. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Roy Patton and Minnie Lee Gorham Patton, sister Dorothy Mogel, granddaughter Rose-Shanti Eris Russell and husband "Rusty" Russell. She married Dr. Richard C. Smith of Dallas, 8/22/98. She is survived by her husband Dr. Richard C. Smith, son Chris Russell and wife Debbie Russell of Richardson, grandsons Brian Pickle, Kyle and Rusty Russell, son Mike Russell of Dallas and grandson Sam Russell and niece Dorothy Mogle Osterberg of Tyler. She was loved by and shared her love with step daughters Shelbie S. McKenzie of Rockwall, Sondra S. McClendon of Tulsa and their husbands and sons. In addition to her family, her loves were horses, her pet Pepper, and the many friends that she made and enjoyed during her lifetime. She was an award winning figure skater, being the first women in Texas awarded a gold medal from the US Figure Skating Assoc. Her family would like to thank Juliette Fowler Communities, and Baylor Medical Center Dallas for their love and care.
