SCOTT, Antoinette Lillian Antoinette Lillian Scott passed away October 17, 2018 in Dallas, TX, in her 93rd year of life. Born on December 30, 1924, in Reading, PA to Antonia Ferragame and Lloyd Levan. Tonie met her husband, the late Stanley J. Scott, renowned CPA of Dallas, in Philadelphia where she was working and supporting the USO while he was stationed there in the U.S. Navy; they married March 30, 1945 and moved to Dallas shortly thereafter. They were married for 66 years at the time of his passing. Tonie was a life-time member of the Preston Road Church of Christ where she was deeply involved in church activities as an elder's wife, teacher and mentor. She loved to spread the Gospel and share Bible stories with the generations of children she taught in Sunday School and was an ardent supporter of the Center for Christian Education (a preacher training school). While the church was the center of her life, Tonie was also a gifted artist who produced many paintings depicting the Texas landscape and rural scenes inspired by her many travels with Stanley. Tonie enjoyed her involvement in several art clubs in the Dallas area and our memory of her lives on through the many paintings that grace the homes of family and friends. Tonie is survived by her daughter Sandra S. Smith and her husband Paul of Georgetown, TX, son Stanley J. Scott, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth of Austin, TX, grandchildren Amanda Smith of Georgetown, TX; Chad Smith and his wife Christi of Newburyport, MA; Stanley J. Scott, III (Trey) of Nashville, TN; and Elizabeth Scott (Lissa) of Missoula, MT; and her great-grandson Carter Smith of Newburyport, MA. Her home was a delight to her two sets of grandchildren, for whom she maintained toy boxes and activities centers for their many visits, and took time to teach them arts and crafts and the many Bible stories she loved to share. She will be sorely missed by all those that knew and loved her.
