OBERGFELL, Deacon David Deacon Dave peacefully joined Jesus while sleeping at his home in Dallas, Texas where he resided with his lovely wife of 48 years, Jackie. Deacon Dave was a devoted husband, father as well as generous, strong and very hard working community leader. He was always there for his family and for those he served as a Deacon at St. Edwards and later at St. Phillips Catholic Church. During his 40 plus years in the banking industry, he earned a reputation of delivering outstanding results with integrity. Deacon Dave's legacy of faithful service, integrity, and generosity will continue through his three children, Eric, Jill, and Molly and his ten beautiful grandchildren. The family will gather at the church beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 with a vigil at 7:00 p.m. His life will be celebrated in a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Parish, 3030 Gus Thomasson Rd, Dallas, TX 75228.
