Bank executive, volunteer tax counselor, lived in Roselle
Agnes L. Stano, 83, of Roselle, N.J., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2018.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 No. Wood Ave., Linden, N.J., on Friday, Nov. 9, at 10:15 a.m. Funeral Mass is at St. Joseph the Carpenter Roman Catholic Church, Roselle, at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Agnes was born in Newark, N.J., and has lived in Roselle since 1968. She was a graduate of West Side High School in Newark, and also graduated from the American Institute of Banking in Newark.
Agnes was employed by First Fidelity Bank in Newark for 38 years, retiring as a vice president in 1990. Prior, she was a medical office assistant for five years for Dr. Bernard Rosenberg in Linden. Agnes also volunteered as a tax counselor for AARP at the Elizabeth Library for seven years and was a communicant of St. Joseph the Carpenter Church in Roselle.
Agnes was predeceased by her loving parents, Andrew and Pauline (Spanik) Stano, and her sisters, Anna Bertoldo, Pauline Kopacz, and Mary Stano. She is survived by many close friends.
