Ann I. Scott, 91, of West Orange, N.J., formerly of East Orange, N.J., passed peacefully on Jan. 9, 2019.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at 12 noon, at Elmwood United Presbyterian Church, 135 Elmwood Ave., East Orange. Visitation is on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Cremation to be held privately at Rosedale Crematory, Orange. Arrangements are by Woody "Home for Services," Orange.
Born in Finleyville, Pa., Ann was the youngest and last remaining of the 13 Chambers siblings. Ann lived most of her life in East Orange, and was educated in the East Orange school system, graduating from East Orange High School in 1946. She was a civilian employee of the East Orange Police Department, retiring in 1998 after 27 years of dedicated service.
Known as "Nannie" to many, Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory a daughter, Elisabeth (Karima) Scott;, a son, Ron Scott and his wife, Monica; 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.
