Elizabeth grandmother, came to the US aboard the Andrea Doria
Annunziata (nee Acito) Petraglia, 88, of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral from the Petruccelli Funeral Home, 232 Christine St., Elizabeth, N.J., on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, at 9 a.m., thence to St. Hedwig's R.C. Church, Elizabeth, N.J., where at 10 a.m. a Funeral Mass will be offered. Entombment is in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 ,from 4 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Petraglia was born in Italy and sailed aboard the Andrea Doria in 1956 to immigrate to the United States. She settled in Elizabeth, N.J., where she lived the remainder of her life. She was a seamstress and worked for various clothing manufacturers in Elizabeth for 25 years.
She was predeceased by her husband, Osvaldo Petraglia.
She is survived by her children, Oscar (Anne) Petraglia, Renato (Matilde) Mario Petraglia, and Maria (Robert) Carracino, and her grandchildren, Pedro J., Angela, Robert, Daniel and Isabella.
