Mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed
Barbara McManus, age 86, of Forked River, N.J. passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018. Born in Orange, N.J., she lived in West Orange, N.J. and the Poconos, before moving to Forked River.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Lacey Memorial Home, 1022 Lacey Rd., Forked River. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Pius the Tenth, 300 Lacey Rd., Forked River. Burial will follow in the Brig. Gen. WC Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J.
Barbara worked as a secretary for Ench Roofing Supply in West Orange for many years. She loved the beach, crossword puzzles, and playing cards; but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Francis; her brothers, William, James, and Thomas Freeman, and her sister, Mary Miller. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Donald Reitmeyer of West Orange; Lee Ann Reitmeyer of Forked River; Kenneth and his wife, Maria Reitmeyer of Forked River, and John and his wife, Toni McManus of Fairfeild, N.J. Also left to cherish her memory are her 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
