Betty Elizabeth Martin
Celebration of life is Tuesday
Betty Elizabeth Martin made her transition on November 17, 2018.
Born in Chesterfield, S.C., Betty was a resident of Lake Hopatcong, N.J.
Beloved wife of the late Tommie J. Martin Sr., she was the devoted mother of Rev. Tommie J. Martin Jr.; dear son of the late Bishop William A. Clark Sr. and Mother Katherine Clark; loving sister of Janice, Louise, Bishop Daniel Clark and David Clark. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. James A.M.E. church, 588 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Blvd., Newark, N.J. Interment is in Rosedale Cemetery, Orange, N.J. Visitation is Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
