Alice Mannuzza was born in Jersey City, N.J., on April 28, 1928, along with her twin brother, Albert Bodner (now deceased). She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018.
Alice worked as a secretary for the Esso Corporation at the Bayway Refinery in Linden, N.J., before marrying Frank Vincent Mannuzza of Linden in 1964, and settling in Clark Township, N.J. After her husband passed away in 1971, she raised her twin sons without remarrying, and was employed by the American Lung Association until moving to Barnegat, N.J., in 1994. Her defining characteristics were her faith, devotion to her family, and sense of humor.
Surviving are her twin sons, Vincent and Michael, her daughter-in-law, Paola Mannuzza, grandchildren, Brandon and Anthony, younger sister, Barbara Bernstein of Weston, Conn., niece, Sarah and nephews, Eric and David.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Werson Funeral Home, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden. The funeral begins at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 29 at 10:15 a.m., thence to St. John the Apostle R.C. Church, where a Funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. To offer condolences, please visit www.wersonfuneralhome.com
