Betty Jean Lewis, 78, of Newark, N.J., made her transition Jan. 4, 2019.
Betty was the beloved mother of Tawonna Robinson (Mahadi) and Raynard Lewis, sister of John Hayes Jr., Eugene Hayes, and Willie Charles Hayes, loving grandmother of Tyree and Josiah Robinson, Raynard Lott, and Qu'Niah Beastey, and great-grandmother of Andrea Porter. She will also be missed by a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral service is Saturday at 9 a.m. at Philemon Baptist Church, 246 Shephard Ave., Newark. Entombment is at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Viewing is Friday, Jan. 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.
