Allan James Iskra
Accomplished attorney with 45-year career in private practice, served as assistant prosecutor in three New Jersey counties
Allan James Iskra, 71, at rest on Oct. 9, 2018. Born in Passaic, N.J., to his late parents, Walter and Margaret (Bizub) Iskra, he resided in Rockaway, N.J.
Allan was an accomplished attorney throughout his 45 year career in private practice as well as working as the assistant prosecutor in Morris, Passaic, and Somerset counties. Mr. Iskra was also the zoning board attorney for Rockaway, N.J., former Randolph public defender, and past president of the Morris County Bar Association. Allan was vice president of the Board of Directors of the Passaic County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Prevention. Since 1997, he maintained his private practice Schonwald & Iskra in Parsippany.
He was the beloved father of Allana and Justin Iskra and stepdaughter, Michelle King and her children, Taylor and Logan.
Visiting hours are Friday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark-Pompton Tpke., Riverdale, N.J. Funeral Mass is Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church, 154 Mt.Pleasant Ave., Rockaway. Please meet directly at church. Interment is inSt. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook, N.J.
