Ann Sylvestro Granato, 72, of Sea Girt, N.J., passed away at her home on Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018.
Ann was born and raised in Belleville, N.J. She lived in Verona, N.J., for many years before moving to Sea Girt 12 years ago.
She had a long and successful career as a director at Horizon Blue Cross/ Blue Shield before retiring. She volunteered at the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation and at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Among her many pleasures in life, Ann enjoyed animals, walking the boardwalk, traveling, and gardening with her beloved Tony. She was a devout Catholic and communicant at St. Mark's Church.
Ann was predeceased by her father, Domenick Sylvestro, and by her brother, Anthony Sylvestro. She is survived by her beloved husband, Anthony Granato; her mother, Louise Sylvestro, both of Sea Girt, and her brother, Nicholas Sylvestro, of Brick. Also surviving are Ann's niece, Christine Sylvestro, and her nephews, Nicholas, Steven, and Anthony Sylvestro.
Visitation will take place at O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mark's Church, Sea Girt, on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at 9:30 a.m., followed by entombment at St. Anne Cemetery, Wall.
