Andrew Ramos, age 64, suddenly July 23, 2018. Kelvyn Park High School graduate and ROTC member. Proud Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After military service used GI Bill to earn an undergraduate degree in Spanish and a Master's degree in Special Education from Northeastern University of Chicago. Taught at Henry Elementary School while attending Loyola Law School at night. Andy practiced real estate law in Humboldt Park for several years before joining the Social Security Administration as an attorney. Beloved husband of Mary Smyrniotis, loving brother of the late Raphael Ramos (ret CPD), Elizabeth Ortega and Awilda Ramos. Loving brother-in-law to John (Susie) Smyrniotis, Bess G. Smyrniotis, and Antonia Smyrniotis; cherished uncle to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Devoted friend of many, truly brilliant, funny, and loving person who was always there for his friends, (a marathoner), and a zealous Cub fan. Family and friends will meet for Visitation on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Smith~Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., Chicago, from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Prayer service at 2:00 pm.
