BETTY TALLEY THOMAS  (Age 91)  
Of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away on November 23, 2018. Born in Washington, DC., to the late Beulah and Jacob Wallace Talley. Betty received her Bachelor's degree from George Washington University where she was a cheerleader and member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a dedicated homemaker to her husband and two children. She was a gifted artist whose paintings fill the homes of her family and friends. Betty was proud of her work as a volunteer teaching swimming to children with disabilities at the YMCA. She was a crafts person who made intricate artisan corn husk dolls and decorations. She was a founding member of a book club in her former community of Burnt Hills in Silver Spring. She will be missed by all who knew her. Beloved spouse of 68 years to Howard J. Thomas; devoted mother of Marcia Ann Thomas and Matthew John Thomas (Beverly); cherished grandmother of Chelsea Waldo, Kelly Waldo, Kimberly Lastinger (George), and Marlene Thomas; loving great-grandmother of Skylar and Neolia.
