Of Falls Church, VA, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus with family by her side on October 1, 2018. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Melvin Starnes; loving mother of Kevin Starnes; sister of Debbie Hoffman, Clarence Showalter and the late Phyllis Cook. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call at Jefferson Funeral Chapel, 5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22315 on Friday, October 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. where a funeral will be held Saturday, October 6 at 9 a.m. Interment Mount Comfort Cemetery.
