SIGWORTH BARBARA LEE FOLLIN SIGWORTH "Bobbi" Bobbi passed away at the age of 89 on September 23, 2018 in Annapolis, Maryland from Alzheimers disease. Bobbi was born in 1929 in Washington D.C. and raised there, as well as in College Park, Maryland. She had been a resident of Beltsville, Maryland since 1961. For most of her adult life Bobbi managed Follin Guest Home in College Park. The family business was built by her mother-in-law Elizabeth M. Follin in 1940. Bobbi's interest and love for people led her to actively serve her church, First Trinity Lutheran Church in Washington, DC. For many years she managed the church's thrift store, Deja Nu in Bethesda. She also found immense joy in creating flower arrangements for church services and weddings. The banners she designed and made for the various church occasions will be remembered for many years to come. A paint brush was magic in her hands. Guided by her vivid imagination, Bobbi created beautiful art work in oil, watercolor, pen and ink and astonishing fantasy paintings on various pieces of furniture. Bobbi's immense creativity knew no bounds. All surfaces were a potential canvas. Bobbi's love for all animals was infectious. The occasional fallen bird or an injured chipmunk would be lovingly scooped up and tended back to health. Her household was a menagerie of loved animals/pets. Her husband and father of her children, Herman ("Hoppy") Follin preceded her in death in 1984. She began life anew with her second husband, another Herman(!) ("Van") Sigworth, in 1986. Van proceeded her in death in 2013. She is survived by her five children, John Follin of Beltsville, MD, Lori Follin (Craig) of Sea Ranch, CA, Russell Follin (Liz) of University Park, MD, Andy Follin (Carole) of Riva, MD and Kimberly Follin of Beltsville, MD. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Scott, Kate, Greg, Lisa, Andrea, Emily, and Andrew and five great grandchildren, Hazel, Violet, Wyatt, Wade and Penn. Bobbi enjoyed life to the fullest, with her high energy, sparkly blue eyes, joyous laughter, wide smile, and vivacious spirit. Bobbi will live on in our hearts and memories forever. A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the First Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 4th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Bobbi to First Trinity at the above address.A memorial service will be held on October 13, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the First Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 4th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.
