ANNE McMEEKIN (Age 83)  
Lived life to the fullest. Her abundance of energy, positive attitude, and unfaltering courage gave her the fortitude to face life head on. After a nearly decade-long battle, Anne succumbed to cancer on October 23, 2018. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Anne came to the States and first lived in New York and Miami. She then moved to Washington, DC, where she became a U.S. citizen in 1981. Anne worked numerous jobs, including a short stint as a Playboy bunny, but spent most of her career in the hospitality industry. She worked at numerous hotels and restaurants in DC including the Hyatt Regency, the Carleton, the Hilton Embassy Row, and most recently at Smith & Wollensky. Her career spanned nearly five decades. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Jane and Joseph McMeekin and is survived by many loving friends and her beloved feline companion, Sarah. A celebration of Anne's life will take place at the convenience of her friends. Contributions may be sent to the ASPCA or The Humane Society.
