Beatrice L. WongNovember 22, 1925 – January 11, 2019Beatrice Wong (formerly Chew) passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her family. She was born and raised in San Francisco and was a second generation Californian. She graduated from Commerce High School and soon she met and married her husband of 59 years, James F. Wong, in 1945. They settled in an apartment on Himmelmann Place. They raised three children and ran a janitorial business together, eventually settling in a home in Laurel Heights. Beatrice enjoyed living in San Francisco and her ideal day was to read Herb Caen and walk around her neighborhood.

Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband James. She is survived by her children Yvonne DeSouza, her spouse Phillip DeSouza; Elaine Lee, her spouse Howard Lee, and Timothy Wong, his spouse Valerie Wagner. She is the loving Grandmother of Alicia, Missy and Kenny. Great grandmother of Harry and Sam.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 26th at 10:30am at McAvoy O'Hara Evergreen Mortuary, 4545 Geary Blvd at 10th Avenue. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Beatrice's memory to Hospice by the Bay.
