August 5th, 1924 - July 18th, 2018 Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga passed away peacefully on July 18th, 2018. She was 93 years old. Aiko was a civil rights activist and she educated the public about the unconstitutional incarceration of Japanese Americans during WWII. She played a pivotal role in over-turning the Korematsu vs. the United States Supreme Court case. A "community celebration" is scheduled for September 2nd, 1 PM at the Japanese American National Museum in DTLA.
