Had long career in nursing, enjoyed world travel
Arline Dodge, a longtime resident of Morristown, N.J., passed away on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019. She was 81.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., she grew up in Morristown and Morris Plains, N.J., graduating from the former Bayley-Ellard High School. She entered into a career in nursing upon graduation from the Orange Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. During her career she worked both for doctors in private practice and at public hospitals, retiring from Morristown Medical Center.
In her spare time she enjoyed volunteering, and particularly enjoyed the time she spent assisting at the Macculloch Hall Historical Museum. She also enjoyed world travel.
She is survived by her children, Michael and his wife, Janet, Laura and her husband, Paul and David and his wife, Barbara, as well as her grandchildren, Raymond, Clara and Katharine and her nephew, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at the Church of the Assumption, Morristown at 9:30 a.m. Interment is in Holy Rood Cemetery. Hours of visitation at the Doyle Funeral Home, 106 Maple Ave., Morristown on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations in her memory be made to the Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, 45 Mucculloch Ave., Morristown, NJ 07960.
