Angela C. Catalano
Devoted mother, grandmother, lived in Elizabeth for many years
Angela C. (Rotola) Catalano, 96, resident of Clark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clark, N.J., and former long-time resident of Elizabeth, N.J., passed away on Oct. 17, 2018.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, from 2 to 4 ad 7 to 9 p.m., at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave., Westfield. N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Holy Trinity R.C. Church in Westfield, N.J. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, N.J.
Mrs. Catalano was born on Nov. 22, 1921, in Archbald, Pa. She worked as a hairdresser in Elizabeth for many years as well as lunch room aide at Brookside School in Cranford, N.J., until the age of 86.
Mrs. Catalano was predeceased by her husband, Rocco A. Catalano; her parents, Louis and Santa Rotola; brothers, Dominick Aricchi, Patsy Rotola, Joseph Rotola, and Francis Rotola, and her sister, Virginia LaMastra.
She was a devoted mother to her children, Thomas V. Catalano (Linda) and Margaret A. Cilia (Joseph); cherished grandmother of grandchildren, David Catalano, Michael J. Cilia (Kathyrn), Rebekah Scicolone (Michael), and Andrew Catalano, and great-granddaughters, Elizabeth Angela and Nicole Marie Cilia; dear sister of brothers, Santo Rotola (Teresa) and Louis Rotola (Phyllis), and sister, Ann Marie Green.She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
