Service is Saturday for former Bloomfield resident, Army veteran
Alexander R. Bobinski, 80, of Toms River, N.J., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Complete Care in Toms River. Born in Montclair, N.J., Alex lived most of his life in Bloomfield, N.J., before moving to Central then South Jersey. He had been a resident of Toms River for the past year.
A memorial gathering will take place, Sat., Oct. 13, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. with a funeral service at 2 p.m. at "The Family Owned" Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. Condolences can be sent to www.carmonabolenfh.com.
Alex proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War at a rank of Private First Class. He worked in shipping and receiving at Consolidated Container Co. before his retirement.
He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (Bross), sister, MaryAnn Colwell and brother, Thomas Utnewicz. Alex is survived by his two sons, Christopher, his wife, Alice, and daughter, Jackie, of Pine Beach, N.J., and Alexander, his wife, Jill, their son, Alex, and their daughters, Ashley and Victoria, all of Kinnelon, N.J.
