Alleana Margaret Bianco (nee Fernane) transitioned from this life on Nov. 6, 2018, in Upper Montclair, N.J., at the age of 93 of natural causes.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St., Montclair, N.J. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10, at the funeral home chapel. Entombment is at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Visit Caggianomemorial.com.
Alleana was predeceased by her husband and friend, Charles R. Bianco. She is survived by her son, Robert Bianco; her daughter, Linda Fischer; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bianco; son-in-law, Dennis Dane Fischer; five granddaughters, Jasmine Kovach, Carly Schofield, Krystina Riggs, Nicole Bianco and Amy Bianco, and six great-grandchildren.
Alleana was born in Wanaque, N.J., in 1925, grew up in Pompton Lakes, N.J., and graduated from Pompton Lakes High School.
She attended Montclair State College and earned her master's degree in business administration. She was a high school accounting instructor in Belvidere, N.J., and accountant for her husband's construction company, Tony Bianco and Son Inc., for many years.
She was a longtime resident of Montclair and lifelong member and an officer, third vice president of the Women's Club of Upper Montclair for many years. She enjoyed dancing, socializing with friends, and her cats, all of whom found a welcoming home with her.
