Betty L. (Satkmann) Balot, 85, of Elizabeth, N.J. passed away at home on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018. Born in Newark, N.J. she lived most of her life in Elizabeth.
Visiting is on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. Georges Ave., Linden, N.J. 07036. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. from Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, Elizabeth. Betty was a retired receptionist at H & R Block Co., Cranford, N.J., and previously had been a telephone operator for N.J. Bell Telephone. She was a talented artist. Purple was her favorite color. She made the best cream puffs. She loved the music of Neil Diamond, and she was kind to everyone and everyone loved her in return.
Betty is the beloved wife of Quentin Balot; devoted mother of Diana Frank of Allentown, Pa., Cynthia Balot of Flagstaff, Ariz., Selene Rivera and her husband, Michael, of Bloomfield, N.J., Quentin Balot Jr. of Woodlawn, Tenn., and the late James Balot; loving sister of Emma Anderson and Dolores Weitzel, and cherished grandmother of four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
