Alejandro Arencibia, 56, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018, at Overlook Medical Center in Summit, N.J.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the O'Boyle Funeral Home, 309 Broad St., Bloomfield, N.J., on Tuesday at 9 a.m. The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Valentine Church in Bloomfield at 10 a.m. Interment is in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair, N.J. Visitation is on Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m.
Born in Havana, Cuba, he lived in Bloomfield since 1966.
Alejandro was the owner and lead instructor of the Bloomfield Karate Academy. He held a 5th degree black belt. He was an avid Redskins and Mets fan, although family was the most important thing in his life.
He was the beloved husband for 35 years of Maureen Arencibia, devoted father of Nicole and Lauren, and loving son of Digna Proveyer Arencibia and the late Jose Arencibia.
