Alden A. Bos, age 82, resident of Naperville, IL since 1958, passed away on January 1st, 2019. He is survived by his wife , Johnell, daughters Gaylene (Tim) Burger of Palos Park, IL and Brenda Bos of Wheeling, IL; grandsons Matt and Collin Burger of Palos Park, IL; sisters Alma (Melvin) Meyer of Pilger, NE, and Arlene (the late Robert) Blankenau of Dodge, NE; brothers-in-law Mike Steck of Winfield, IL and Floyd (Sandra) Page of Estero, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Anton and Agnes Bos. Alden grew up in Nebraska and attended country school through 8th grade and graduated from high school in Clarkson, NE in 1953. After high school he worked as an LP gas truck driver in Clarkson, until he joined the Army in 1955, and was eventually stationed at the Nike Site in Warrenville, IL until 1957. While in the area he met Johnell and they married in 1960. Alden worked at the Naperville National Bank for 33 years. He was a past member of the Kiwanis Clubs in Naperville. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending summers in Michigan, and especially time with his grandsons and attending their football, basketball, baseball, and rugby games during their school years. Visitation will be Saturday, January 5 from 10:00 AM until the time of service 12:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services 44 S. Mill St. Naperville, IL 60540. Interment will follow at Naperville, Cemetery. For those wishing to leave a lasting tribute to Alden's memories, donations to Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation at 5705 Grant Creek, Missoula, MT 59808 would be appreciated.
