Betty Jane (B.J.) Tomaselli passed peacefully at her home in Wilmington, North Carolina, on Friday, November 16, 2018. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 24, 1923 to the late Arthur and Elizabeth Foehl. She was a graduate of Moravian Academy and Hood College (1944). In November 1949 she married Joseph Tomaselli Esq. of Camden, NJ. They lived and raised their three sons in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. She also resided in Ocean City, New Jersey and Bal Harbour, Florida. She lived in Wilmington, North Carolina full-time the past five years. Known for her classy demeanor, humor and enjoyment of all that is good in life, Betty appreciated a good game of golf, and treasured her family and good friendships. She embraced an active social life at The Surf Club in Bal Harbour, Florida where she hosted many charity balls in support of The Kidney Foundation and The Heart Association. She also enjoyed memberships at Ocean City Yacht Club and Tavistock Country Club in New Jersey. Betty is survived by three sons whom she cherished; Joel, Cary and Kent; two daughters-in-law Kathryn and Jo Ann, four grandchildren Micah, Ross, Nicole and Johan; one granddaughter-in-law Robin and one great granddaughter Mia. The family will hold private memorial services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Betty's name to the Philadelphia Zoo where she was a lifelong honorary member.
