RHINARD, CAROL LINDSAY Born Carol Lindsay Rhodes on February 14, 1946, died of ALS peacefully at home in southwest Miami on December 25, 2018. Originally from Berwick, Pennsylvania, Carol received her bachelors from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania and her masters in English Education at Florida International University. She was an award-winning high school English teacher for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 30 years, mostly at South Miami Senior High. Daughter of Harwood and Elise Rhodes, Carol is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Rhinard; brother, Douglas Rhodes; daughter, Ellen DeGrasse (husband Kirk); son, Stephen Rhinard; and grand-children, Evan and Kyla DeGrasse. Informal remembrance celebration at Pinecrest Gardens, Sunday, Jan. 6th, 1:30-4:30. In lieu of flowers, Carol requested donations to WomenHeart or the ALS Association.
