Carole Mae Sayers (nee Spacciante), 80, of West Orange, N.J., passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m., at The Dangler Funeral Home of West Orange, 340 Main Street. Letters of condolence may be posted at danglerfuneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole's name to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 NJ-10, East Hanover, N.J. 07939 and the Holy Trinity Food Pantry, 315 Main St., West Orange, N.J. 07052.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at 10 a.m., at Saint Joseph's Church, 44 Benvenue Ave., in West Orange.
Carole was born and raised in Newark, N.J., before moving to West Orange 50 years ago. She worked for E.J. Korvettes in West Orange. Carole was a member of the Ladies Auxiliaries' West Orange Elks, and a volunteer at Holy Trinity Soup Kitchen.
Carole was the beloved wife of the late Richard W. Sayers Sr.; devoted mother of Richard W. Sayers Jr. and his wife, Kathy; loving sister of Nicholas Spacciante and the late Marie Parisi, and cherished grandmother of Thomas and Ryan.
