Alfred M. Colaneri Jr. Army veteran, Cranford resident and firefighter Alfred M. Colaneri Jr., 79, passed away Aug. 28, 2018, at Cranford Health and Extended Care. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Ave., Cranford, N.J. Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 31, at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Westfield, N.J. Born in Garwood, N.J., Alfred was a longtime resident of Cranford. Alfred was a proud veteran of the U.S Army, having served from 1961 to 1963. He was a former firefighter from the Cranford Fire Department Local 37. His favorite hobbies were hunting and fishing. Alfred was predeceased by his twin brother, Anthony, and his sister, Margaret. Surviving are his devoted wife, Camille; his loving children, son, James (Ann) and daughter, Laura Eicke (Chaz), and his beloved grandchildren, Monica and Michael.
