Barbara Graham Bogard
1938-2018
Beloved Barbara Graham Bogard, born January 21, 1938 in Houston, TX. passed away peacefully August 22, 2018 in Pearland, TX. She was preceded by her parents, Marion "Pee Wee" and Dorothy Graham, her husband of 38 years, Jan Bogard and her sister in law, Ana Jasek. Barbara graduated from Milby high school in 1955. She was a devout Baptist and did mission work all over the world. Barbara began working for Exxon and this is where she met her late husband, Jan Bogard. They married January 21, 1976. Barbara continued her mission work with her husband, traveling to the Holy Lands. Barbara graduated from San Jacinto College in 1985 with an associate of arts. After retiring from Exxon, Barbara devoted her time to volunteering at her church's food pantry, delivering food with Meals on Wheels and teaching Sunday school. She was an avid animal lover and kept to a rigorous dog-walking schedule. Barbara was a charitable kind soul who saw only the best in everyone she met. She is survived by her brother and his wife, Robert and Anna Graham, her three nieces and their husbands, Bobbie Sue Graham and Scott Wilson, Tracie Marie and Tom Sanders, and Lisa and David Hunt. She is also survived by her great niece and her husband, Misty and Aaron Malady, great niece, Kendall Sander, great nephew and his wife, David and Sarah Mueller, two great nephews, Tommy and Kyler Sander, great great nephew, Carson Mueller and great great niece, Abigail Mueller. She is also survived a by her life-long friend and former sister-in-law and her husband, Sharon Suzann Graham and Bobby "Homer" Scherer and by many friends from church. Visitation will held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 5-8 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Grand Chapel of Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the or the SPCA.
