Mrs. Billie Joyce Manning (née Williams), of Houston, TX passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the age of 89.
Joyce was born to parents Robert Lee and Nannie Armittie Williams on February 13, 1929 in Waco, TX. Her family relocated to Houston, TX when Joyce was a baby. She grew up as the youngest of three and graduated from Sam Houston High School.
Joyce married Billy (Bill) W. Manning, Sr. in 1948, and the couple had four children. Joyce was a devoted mother to her four children as well as a proud Nana. She loved woodworking and was involved in all of her children's schooling and sports. Joyce was an avid bowler and seamstress. She was a great cook- Texas Trash and desserts being her specialties. She was a loving and kind friend to all. Joyce is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Bill Jr. (Cheryl), and Rusty; her daughters, Brenda Cleveland (Tim) and Nancy Mosley (Jim); thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill; her parents, Robert and Nan; her brother, Robert Williams; and her sister, Marguerite Taylor;
Joyce will be cremated. A private celebration of life will be held in Granite Shoals, TX with the scattering of her ashes to follow.
