Caterina Campesi Newark centenarian, 103 Caterina Campesi, 103, of Newark, N.J., passed away at her home on Aug, 18, 2018. Caterina was born in Spilinga, Calabria, Italy, and came to the U.S. in 1963, settling in Newark. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faituote Ave., Roselle Park, N.J. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Mt. Carmel Church in Newark, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, N.J. She was a member of the Madonna della Fontana Society of Mt. Carmel Church. Surviving are her children and spouses, Antonio (Annunziata), Michael (Eva), Rosa (Rocco), Antonia (Francesco), and Joseph (Donna); 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
