Cynthia R. Brenner Mother of seven, Maplewood Rosarian, and RN who kept ties to Presbyterian Hospital Nursing School classmates Cynthia R. Brenner (nee Fenn) of Berkeley Heights, N.J., formerly of Maplewood, N.J., passed away at Morristown Medical Center on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018 at the age of 87. The visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, 7 Summit Ave., Summit, N.J. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 306 Morris Ave., Summit, to celebrate the Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Cynthia was born in Stamford, Conn., to the late Alfred and Irene (nee Delahanty) Fenn. She had resided in Maplewood before moving to Berkeley Heights 15 years ago. Cynthia was a graduate of Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Newark, N.J., and was employed as a registered nurse for the Ward Homestead (now Winchester Gardens) in Maplewood for over 30 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Rosary Society at St. Joseph's Church in Maplewood, as well as an annual participant in the alumni dinner for Presbyterian Hospital, where she enjoyed keeping in touch with her classmates. Cynthia was predeceased in 2017 by her beloved husband of 65 years, Robert. She is survived by her loving children, Cathryn (Sal) Iorio, Carolyn (Fred) Caesar, Mary Christine (Dennis) Oster, Colleen (Peter) LaScala, Michael Brenner, Cynthia Lucchetta, and Caren (Scott) Ammaturo. She was the dear half-sister of Jane Fellows, and her late sister, Nancy Quinn. Cynthia is also survived by her 18 cherished grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
