Brett A. Whiteaker

Faleceu

1974 ~ 2018
After not being able to find peace in this life, Brett A. Whiteaker passed away on August 9, 2018. We, his family, would like something positive to emerge from this devastating loss. We don't want mental illness and addiction to remain impersonal, a silent killer.
Brett was born August 21, 1974 in Ogden Utah, the son of John and Bonnie Whiteaker.
When he was little he had a beautiful smile and big blue eyes that he shared with everyone.
He was a brilliant mind. Even while battling his sadness he was an excellent student, graduating with honors from Ogden High School and Weber State University, earning degrees in psychology and nursing. He worked in geriatrics, caring for Alzheimer and dementia patients and later worked in behavioral units in Utah and Arizona as a psych nurse.
He was a lover of family, 80's music, nature, palm trees, science, truth and equality.
In 2009 Brett rescued his dog, Ayla. She was his greatest love and was always by his side.
He is survived by his parents, his siblings, Wendy Whitfield (Allen), Rob (Marnie), Amber (Robin) and 11 nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a close circle of life-long friends that loved and supported him to the end.
